新宿駅(しんじゅくえき) Shinjuku station

今いまはコロナの影響えいきょうで、家いえからオンラインで授業じゅぎょうすることが多おおいです。 前まえは毎日まいにちのように通かよっていた新宿しんじゅくにも、あまり行いかなくなりました。 今日きょうは、久ひさしぶりに新宿しんじゅくに来きたので、写真しゃしんを撮とりました。

These days, I often teach online from home, because of the COVID-19. I don’t go to Shinjuku, which I used to go to every day. Today, I came to Shinjuku for the first time in a while, so I took pictures.

１　小田急線おだきゅうせんの南口みなみぐちです。

２　J R線せんの南口みなみぐちです。

みんなマスクをしています。日本にほんでは、マスクをすることは義務ぎむではなく、「お願ねがい」なので、マスクをしなくても罰金ばっきんを取とられることはありません。それでも今いま、外そとでマスクをしていない人ひとを見みることは、ほとんどありません。

Everyone is wearing a mask. In Japan, wearing a mask is not an obligation, but a “request”, so you will not be fined without a mask. However, we rarely see people outside without masks now.

3　お昼ひるの新宿駅前しんじゅくえきまえです。

4　同おなじ場所ばしょの夜よるの風景ふうけいです。

ここは東京とうきょうでもトップクラスの繁華街はんかがいなので、コロナ前まえはもっと人ひとが多おおかったと思おもいます。やはり人出ひとでは、減へっている気きがします。

3. It is Shinjuku station at daytime. 4 It is the nighttime from the same place. This is one of the top downtown areas in Tokyo, so I think there were more people before the COVID-19. I feel that the number of people is decreasing.

５　京王けいおうデパートにこんな掲示けいじがありました。

いつの間まにか、デパートのレジ袋ぶくろも全すべて有料ゆうりょうになっていました。デパートの袋ふくろは、１枚まい5円えんです。高たかいですか。安やすいですか。 日本にほんは、買かったものをきれいな紙かみで包つつんでくれることで有名ゆうめいでしたが、環境かんきょうを守まもるために、包装ほうそうはどんどん簡略化かんりゃくかされています。私わたしはいいことだと思おもいますが、皆みなさんはどう思おもいますか。

There was a notice like this at the Keio department store. Before I knew it, all the shopping bags in department stores were charged. A department store bag costs 5 yen per one bag. Is it expensive or is it reasonable price? Japan was famous for wrapping that they wrap bought items in beautiful paper nicely, but in order to protect the environment, the wriping is becoming simpler and simpler.
